OneClickRENO

OneClickRENO contributes to the transition to an emission-free building stock in the EU by encouraging deep renovations.

The building sector is responsible for more than a third of the EU's energy-related greenhouse gas emissions, but the current renovation rate is only 0.2% per year. This rate is far too slow to meet the 2050 climate goals, despite broad consensus on the importance of building renovations.

OneClickRENO aims to address this problem by developing automated Building Renovation Passports (BRPs). These personalized renovation roadmaps help owners plan cost-effective, phased renovations and make the benefits of comprehensive renovations tangible and understandable.

For homeowners, the system provides easy access to automatically generated BRPs through web tools that are one-click operable. These renovation plans are presented in a clear, relatable manner and include a step-by-step roadmap for in-depth renovations.

Renovation professionals receive ready-to-use BRPs that already comply with the EPBD Directive. They can customize these documents for specific buildings and users, then use the same Web tool to deliver a concrete renovation plan to their clients. The system integrates with existing EPC systems, energy calculators and renovation design tools.
Decision makers benefit from data-driven insights generated from user selections. This information helps them design and track effective renovation policies and provides opportunities to monitor renovation trends and effectiveness.

The system is based on a GIS web environment that can generate site-specific renovation recommendations. Reliability is ensured by using official schedules and data sources, supplemented by user contributions that enrich the data. Interoperability with various existing energy tools enables wide application.

OneClickRENO aims to act as an effective lever to achieve the EU's goal of a low-emission building stock by making renovations more accessible, understandable and planable for all parties involved in the renovation chain.
