Research

DEMO performs research with partners from its network such as research institutes, universities, industry organizations and governmental institutes. A lot of research focuses on the use of innovative ICT for sustainable development, energy efficiency and the combination of technology with socio-economic factors.
DEMO has participated in research programmes of the European Union and the Dutch government since its beginning. New knowledge is only created through an open mind set, sharing existing knowledge and working together on innovation and product development. We use new and existing knowledge for our customers and apply them to their issues.

How do we use the RE Suite for research?
DEMO develops software models in the area of sustainable development, management, renovation and reconstruction, as well as energy savings. At national level, DEMO participates in TKI research projects.  In addition to professional software, DEMO has also developed tools for the web-based management of international research projects with a large number of partners from different countries. The RE Suite provides the European research consortia with a solid foundation to quickly scale up new technologies and put them into practice.

RE Monitoring
There are plenty of energy data from you as an end user available, monitored by equipment and sensors in the house (such as smart meters, heat monitoring, smart plugs, energy-conscious products, intelligent controls and building automation). RE Monitoring unlocks large amounts of sensor data, including for non-software developers.

RE Maintenance has been used to map cultural heritage in various European countries. The method based on the NEN 2767 has been expanded and applied for monumental buildings.

Prior to a possible renovation, it is essential to carry out an expert inspection to investigate feasibility of various strategies. DEMO has applied and further developed this in P2Endure using RE Maintenance.

DEMO wants to be a frontrunner in its field and therefore works continuously to keep its knowledge up-to-date by developing new knowledge and tools ourself.
Cooperation is crucial and for that reason knowledge is even more important than other aspects of a consultancy firm. This is why DEMO has participated in research programmes of the European Union and the Dutch government since its inception.
