INPERSO

INdustrialised and PErsonalised Renovation for Sustainable sOcieties

INPERSO is about more efficient use of energy in buildings and industry and will contribute to an energy-efficient and climate-neutral European building stock. Within the project, a renovation program will be developed that focuses on the entire life cycle of the building. To this end, INPERSO will deliver an inclusive, affordable, efficient and sustainable renovation, adaptable to different climate zones and building typologies, but focused on residential and heritage buildings.

Reduction of time, costs and waste

New technology components that leverage the advantages of prefabrication, pre-integration and robotic 3D printing will dramatically reduce construction time (>50%) and cost (>25%) and increase efficiency, productivity and resource quality, combined with waste reduction (>40%).

Digital solutions

This project highlights the benefits of digital solutions by integrating scan-to-BIM, AI, AR and ML into DEMO's RE Suite platform. This lays a solid foundation for harmonizing information flows. Building energy performance and indoor environmental quality are optimized and the energy footprint of the renovation process is improved.

Demonstration cases

INPERSO's innovations and methodologies will be demonstrated in Spain, the Netherlands and Greece.

The Dutch demonstration case was contributed by our client Monumentenwacht Noord-Brabant. It involves a Trinity reuse project in Velp consisting of two monasteries and a church.

Expected impact

  • Technological and socioeconomic breakthroughs to achieve climate neutrality and a transition to zero pollution of the building stock by 2050.
  • Greater energy efficiency in industry and reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants through recovery, upgrading and or conversion of industrial excess (waste) heat and through electrification of heat generation.

The consortium consists of 8 research organizations, 8 SMEs, 2 large companies and 3 NPOs, who are privately investing €4.7 million in the project.
