These projects are in the area of the industrialisation of deep renovation workflows for energy-efficient buildings that allows to:
- Deliver a unified and interoperable resource for information access and management throughout the building’s lifecycle, enabling efficient communication between stakeholders;
- Generate new, low-carbon renovation models that bridge the gap between designed and built, are affordable, adaptable, and provide resilience, integrating the user in the renovation process;
- Accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing and prefabrication technologies in renovation, reducing waste and the energy demand of the process itself;
- Deploy on-site new technologies such as: 3D Scanning, Augmanted Reality and 3D façade printing;
- Address personalised comfort requirements inclusively, by increasing building smartness.
Duties
- Work in BIM modelling in buildings and components levels and 3d scanning activities;
- Work on Asset management and pilot sites digital twins;
- Apply SoA technologies in the pilot sites;
- Analyze literature, conduct spatial analysis and modelling;
- Submit the project deliverables and work on scientific papers;
- Interact and collaborate with other researchers in the project;
- Participate in projects events;
- Link research activities to consultancy.
Requirements
- Graduated with an MSc in Building Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines with 1 to 5 years of experience;
- Good level of knowledge of the digitalization of the renovation process;
- Good level of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Digital Twinning technology;
- Familiarity with different types of 3d scanning technologies;
- Programming experience in C# and/or Python or similar is a plus;
- You can work in a group as well as on your own initiative;
- You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation;
- Excellent communication skills. You can speak and write Dutch and English fluently. Good academic writing skills and is a plus.
